The hype, the memes
And underlying schemes
In which we rot.
We're fallible
And so gullible
And as a species
Unremarkable,
Disembarkable feces
Upon the Earth;
Insignificant
In our collective
Girth of grit
And forging forth
Within it;
Selective as to
Sight and hearing,
Gearing towards a future
Bound by sutures, fearing
What by some is seen
As what's to come -
