Looking Up

It's just a breeze
Lifting the wings of a bird passing by
Above the trees,
Passing over the absurdities
Of the ongoings below
The sky

Growing Reapers

It seems I'm given notice
More than I'm ever noticed
At all, really
Kicking rocks upon the fall
(Or the Fall?)
If there's a purpose to it all
Instead of being rendered to a crawl

Exponentiality -
      Who will ever learn?
The embittered, impatient
Watching the numbers
Burn away unto their toll
One coin to discern
Every soul left to burn
Two sides, too selectively,
Distractingly, spurning
One another
Into one side or another,
As if to conquer and divide
And I rebel -
But not like "I'm a rebel"
But in a sense of woke
To tell about the pretense,
Being subject to this yoke,
This joke, abated,
Masturbated, exacerbated -
All the folk denied
And if this, into nothing, coincides
What will be rectified?
Who will be vilified,
As everyone's lied to?

More Curious Still

They told me the manner
Of how to exist on this plane;
But, through the clouded plexiglass,
I see the things that look mundane
More curious still

In motion,
I believe in some commotion
Just to prove you have devotion, baby
Maybe more curious still
More curious still

And more curious
I find the day inviting me
To take a chance and really see
What goes into perplexing me
More curious still

And more curious
I find the thoughts I try to change
As I rearrange the truth at times
When I think of you
More curious still

Couple Minutes

One minute
Maybe two
During which
There's lots to do
It feels as though
It may be more
Thoughts about
What lies in store
Makes the time last
Still and longer
While the, at last,
It is no longer
Finally now
The time is here -
Here right now
And not just near
My heart then skips
A beat or two
Now one minute
Maybe two

The Blight Of The Mean

Buying into it -
Or not
The hype, the memes
And underlying schemes
In which we rot.
We're fallible
And so gullible
And as a species
Unremarkable,
Disembarkable feces
Upon the Earth;
Insignificant
In our collective
Girth of grit
And forging forth
Within it;
Selective as to
Sight and hearing,
Gearing towards a future
Bound by sutures, fearing
What by some is seen
As what's to come -
The blight of the mean

Justice

Beautiful visions in dreams I had
Of the moments that have come to fruition now;
Perhaps it's precognition somehow -
At the start,
In waking dreams of future time;
And then apart... together still yet seperate,
Our hearts United despite the miles and despite
The time...
I'd dreamt of that which has come to pass,
And although that dream was comforting in
That distant time,
That dream didn't do the beauty of the present
Justice

Captain Muddled

They say
Actions speak louder than words;
However,
What if your actions are your words?
Would it needs be
Seen to be louder,
Vibrations on the floor?
I've opened up the door
Again -
And all I then experience
Is...

As to
What it's all about

Muddled memories
Gallore upon a drunk who's
Crashed upon the seas,
Until the ship
Was cast asunder.
Still I wonder,
Whether it was sunk

Could I survive
If even still alive?
If I still remembered how,
And still saw the here and now -

So long ago,
As I looked into the
Present, Past, And Future -
Times of culture;
There's a reason to ignore
The way it seems to go,
When cast upon a
Cold and distant shore
